Video Engineer Intern Onboarding

Welcome to Hyletic! As a Video Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in our marketing team, helping us create captivating and engaging video content to promote our AI products and services. This document will provide you with an overview of your onboarding process and give you a warm-up task to get started.

Onboarding Process​

  1. Introduction to Hyletic: You will be introduced to the company's mission, values, and overall goals. You will also have the opportunity to meet the marketing team and other relevant stakeholders.

  2. Orientation: You will receive an orientation session where you will learn about the company's culture, policies, and procedures. This will help you understand how we operate and ensure a smooth transition into your role.

  3. Tools and Software Training: You will be provided with training on the tools and software used by the marketing team for video editing and production. This will include familiarizing yourself with video editing software, graphics tools, and any other relevant platforms.

  4. Project Assignments: Once you have gained a basic understanding of our tools and processes, you will be assigned real-world projects to work on under the guidance of a mentor. These projects will allow you to apply your skills and contribute to our marketing efforts.

  5. Regular Check-ins and Feedback: Throughout your internship, you will have regular check-ins with your mentor and the marketing team to provide updates on your progress and receive feedback on your work. These check-ins will ensure that you are on the right track and have the support you need.

Warm-up Task: Video Editing Exercise​

To get started and familiarize yourself with video editing, we have a warm-up task for you. Please complete the following exercise:

Task Description​

You are provided with raw footage of an AI product demo. Your task is to edit the footage and create a 1-minute promotional video showcasing the key features and benefits of the product. You have creative freedom to add captions, graphics, and any other elements that will make the video engaging and informative.

Requirements​

  • Use any video editing software of your choice.
  • Add an intro and outro to the video.
  • Include captions or text overlay to highlight key points.
  • Use transitions and effects to enhance the visual appeal of the video.
  • Ensure the video is no longer than 1 minute.

Submission​

Once you have completed the video editing exercise, please submit your final video file to your mentor or the designated point of contact. They will review your work and provide feedback.

  • Pay attention to the pacing and flow of the video. Make sure it is engaging and holds the viewer's attention.
  • Use high-quality visuals and ensure the audio is clear and well-balanced.
